Activities can be found around Horrmundsgården all year such ar bathing in lakes, fish, hunt, hike, ski, pluck berries and mushrooms. Or just wind down in good company.

Winter in Sälen

  • Ski in the resorts nearby such as Sälen mountains, Stöten, Kläppen, Näsfjället, Idre and Trysil. There are 20 km to Sälen and 50 to Trysil in Norway.
  • Skate on the lakes in the area
  • The snowmobile tracks run right outside the premises. We sell maps of the track system and have extensive knowledge of the network.
  • Feel free to try out our very own cross-country ski track that starts right outside the front door.
  • Book a cozy evening in the wood-fired sauna after a day in the snow. An electric sauna is also available for our guests.
  • Have a seat in the BBQ-hut and watch as the flames reach for the sky. Perhaps bring marshmallows or hot dogs.
  • Fishing licence and passes for the snowmobile network are available for purchase.

Spring in Sälen

  • It is still time for one last round on the snowmobile
  • A day out fishing for trout on the spring ice of the still frozen lakes.
  • First hikers and cyclists of the year turn up

Summer in Sälen

  • Go for a swim in lake Horrmundsjön which is close by
  • Make lunch in the BBQ hut and work on your tan on the patio
  • Hike and bicycle on the mountain trails during the day and return to a comfortable accomodation
  • Fish in the lakes and streams. Buy your fishing licence here
  • Rent our canoes and go for a boatride on Horrmundsjön
  • Lots of outdoor activities for the kids which our dogs love to watch and even play along.
  • Short driving distance to the national park Fulufjället and Swedens tallest waterfall, Njupeskär. Särna beach or lake Stensjön are worth to mention also.
